                                                                                        Flea and Tick Service

Successful control of a flea infestation relies heavily on customer participation. Some situations require both house and yard treatments.  If you have a pet, we suggest the animal also be treated by a licensed veterinarian at the same time we treat.

Treatment Preparations

 Before the Service

o   Vacuum all floors, carpets and rug areas.

o   Remove all items from floors including closet floors and under beds

o   Mop all tile, linoleum and wood floors thoroughly

o   Vacuum under all cushions of upholstered furniture, especially if it a favorite place for your pet to sit

o   Clean or Replace pet bedding

o   Remove pet food items and litter from floors

o   Point out areas to your technician where pets like to rest or sleep

o   Arrange to have your pets treated by a veterinarian as close to your scheduled date as possible

o   Fish tanks should be covered

o   All people and pets need to remain off treated areas until the treated areas have dried and odor is gone (for approx. 3-4 hrs)

After the Service

o   Vacuum Carpet and rugs daily or as often as possible. This activity Stimulates adult fleas hiding in cocoons to emerge where they will come in contact with treatment solution

o   You may see fleas for up to 2 weeks after being treated. Daily vacuuming of infested rooms helps speed up the process of controlling fleas

o   A follow-up service may be necessary where flea population is heavy
