Bee Elimination Service

Although honey bees are beneficial in many ways, they can be very dangerous and harmful depending on where they decide to nest.

When dealing with bees in buildings many times wall voids of homes or buildings are chosen for colony sites.  The bees may nest in the wall or attic some distance from where they enter. Colonies established in these locations or near a home can be a serious problem. It is best to remove or eliminate bees nested too close to human activity as soon as possible. The longer you delay, the more difficult the job is.

Do not attempt to remove or eliminate bees without the proper protection equipment.  Gold Star Exterminators will provide trained, experienced, professional technicians to locate and safely eliminate bees.

After treatment is performed and most bees have been eliminated, there are still foraging bees that will later come in contact with the treated area while returning back to the hive. These foraging bees will die also.

In order to prevent re-infestation of the treated area by another colony, it is recommended that the remaining nest be removed. Discard the comb and honey. After the dead colony has been removed, be sure to plug-up all entrances through which other bee swarms might try to enter through.

Failure to remove a bee nest can result in big headaches later. The larger the nest the more problems you may have with odors from dead bees or fermenting honey, and other pest are attacked to the nest like ants, roaches, beetles and rodents. Traces of old comb are highly attractive to bees, which leads to more bee colonies.

Large bee colonies may have to be treated more than once before they are eliminated. Immature bees in the comb at the time of treatment may continue to emerge for up to 10 days after being treated.
